How to immigrate to Canada?
If you wish to immigrate to Canada, you must apply through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
There are different permanent residence programs that allow you to immigrate to Canada and the path to your Canadian immigration is unique to each person.
How to apply?
Immigration applications must be submitted online to IRCC, either from within Canada or abroad, along with all required documents and processing fees. An immigration officer will assess your application based on the specific program criteria and relevant immigration regulations. If your application is on track for approval, you will then need to complete health and security checks to finalize the process.
Express Entry
Express Entry is the primary system for managing economic immigration to Canada, attracting and admitting the largest number of skilled workers. Launched by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in January 2015, Express Entry streamlines applications for permanent residence under several key programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
- A portion of the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP)
Expression of interest (EOI) and Invitation to Apply (ITA)
To apply for Canadian permanent residence through Express Entry, you must first create an Express Entry profile to express your interest. If eligible, your profile will be entered into a pool of candidates and ranked based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The CRS awards points for various factors, including age, education, language proficiency in English or French, work experience (both in Canada and abroad), and additional factors such as a valid job offer, your spouse’s language proficiency and Canadian work experience (if applicable), siblings in Canada, provincial nomination, and Canadian education credentials.
Approximately every two weeks, IRCC conducts draws from the pool to invite the highest-ranking candidates to apply for permanent residence. The CRS score serves as the cut-off for these draws. If you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), you can then submit your application for permanent residence online.
To start your immigration journey as a skilled worker, book a consultation with our firm. We will assess your eligibility and guide you through the process to ensure the best possible outcome for your permanent residence application.
Provincial Nominee Programs
If you know which Canadian province you want to settle in, you can apply for permanent residence either through the Express Entry system or directly through one of the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP).
Some provinces use Express Entry to select candidates from the pool and invite them to apply for provincial nomination. If you receive a provincial nomination, you’ll be awarded 600 additional CRS points, significantly boosting your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a future draw from the pool.

OINP
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) offers a pathway for foreign nationals with the right skills, experience, and education to obtain permanent residence in Ontario.
The OINP is structured into three primary categories hat you can apply to online:
- Employer Job Offer: For individuals with a valid job offer from an Ontario employer.
- Human Capital: Targets skilled workers with strong educational backgrounds or work experience.
- Business: Designed for entrepreneurs looking to invest and establish a business in Ontario (temporarily closed)
Each stream has specific eligibility criteria and requires mandatory documentation to support your application. It’s essential to carefully review and include all required documents to ensure a complete and successful application.
We have extensive experience guiding and representing clients throughout the entire OINP application process, ensuring every step is handled with expertise from start to finish.
Family sponsorship
The Family Sponsorship Program allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to bring their family members living abroad to Canada by sponsoring their applications for permanent residence. Eligible family members for sponsorship include:
- Spouse or Common-Law Partner: Includes both legally married spouses and partners in a committed, conjugal relationship.
- Dependent Children: Biological or adopted children who are financially dependent on the sponsor and under 22 years of age
- Parents and Grandparents: Parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
- Adopted Children: Children who have been legally adopted by the sponsor.
In addition to these categories, there are provisions for sponsoring other family members under special circumstances, such as the “lonely Canadian” who may have no other relatives in Canada and no other eligible relatives abroad.
Our firm has extensive experience in navigating the complexities of spousal/common-law partner, parental sponsorship and dependent children’s applications. We offer expert guidance to ensure that your application meets all the necessary requirements and increases the likelihood of a successful outcome.

Sue has been a blessing! We had tried to submit our file on our own twice before with many errors that were definitely not evident. Sue was very meticulous and walked us through every document and step along the way. My husband received his letter of acceptance within 4 months of Sue handling our file. She works hard for her clients! Well worth every penny. We thank her for professionalism and excellent service.

Five star is not enough for Sue’s level of professionalism. From the get-go Sue has been extremely helpful, reachable, responsive, and extremely meticulous. My PR application from start to end was so super quick. Because she is extremely knowledgeable on the law, Sue ensured that all my paperwork was perfect. What makes Sue different is that she truly cares and goes over and beyond to ensure that her clients get to their end goal. She was such a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend her for any immigration requirements.
Sean Burton
Sue is very patient and helpful. We started off with a consultation to go over possible immigration routes to take and once we decided on what fit best for the situation, she offered several services with varying levels of hands-on/off degrees to choose from. Her rates are great and she is very knowledgeable. I chose the service where she helps closely and while the IRCC general turnaround was stating 18 months to be allowed to move in, Sue made sure all my ducks were in a row and I was ready to immigrate in less than 10 months.
